Before writing a blog post, you took the time to research. You read other blogs, checked out forums, and now you have blog post content. Next, you write your blog post. When writing, it is best to write over 400 words. It will help you later on. Now that you have finished, what’s next? It’s time to repurpose it. Here are my top 3 ideas on where to repurpose your blog posts.

Once you post a blog to your website, the first thing you need to do is to write an article and send it to blog directories. The one I suggest is Ezine Articles. They are the best free directory to promote your articles. If you wrote you post over 400 words, then it will easily convert on Ezine Articles because that is their minimum word count. Be sure and read their other guidelines.

Secondly, use social media to repurpose your postings. Social media sites are ones like Facebook and Twitter. You can tweet a topic from each paragraph. You can automatically set up to send your posts to these social sites. These automatic posts on these sites will give you links back to your website. Backlinks are great for Google ranking.

Third, go back to the forums in your niche. See if your post just answered a question that someone just asked. Give them the short version of an answer and link back to your website for a more detailed answer. There are probably many forums on your niche topic. But be careful not to spend too much time there. Researching can make time fly by. Set a time limit before going to forums. If 30 minutes is all you can spend today, then use it wisely, and move on to your next project for the day.

Remember your blog is your home place. You should own your blog. By that, I mean you should not be using a free blogging platform like Blogger. They can take down your site at any moment and you would lose all your posting. If you use WordPress.org you must store it somewhere like a hosting account. You would own your blog. Some people call it your real estate online. When you own your blog, you can do with it what you want. That’s why when sending out posts to article directories and social media you link back to your site. People will check out the link and come to your page. Then you can give great information, tips, or sell products you have used and recommend. How are you repurposing your blog posts?
